Ease of opening
I was at an interesting conference about user friendly packaging on the 30th of april at Danish Technological Institute. Inspiring speakers and interesting and people. At the very boring and traditional "sit down by the table and take a picture" you can see Rama Gheerawo, Innovation leader at Helen Hamlyn Center, the Royal College of Art. He was talking about an amusing example of an easy peel bacon package - that apparently hadn´t been tested on real consumers before launching. /jbMay 5, 2009 in -Transformer News, -Transformer Projects, Design & Innovation, Miscellaneous | Permalink | Comments (0) | TrackBack

Visions and ideas of new bicycle lanes

The city of Malmoe is building, growing and building a lot. Malmoe has since 2003 been a part of a EU financed project called SMILE (Sustainable Mobility Initiatives for Local Environment) As a part of that Transformer and two architect companies (Testbedstudio and UiD) were invited in april to create ideas, visions and improvments at two specific bicycle paths in Malmoe. We have just finished the project and we are now eagerly waiting, some of the ideas will be tested at a demonstration bicycle lane this summer. We´ll keep you posted.

New products for Sagaform - soon in a store near you

We were at Formex last thursday and looked at the new products for Sagaform that we have designed. It was really nice.
Products will be available in february/march and on Sagforms internet catalogue simultaneously.
A pair of romantic Salad Servers in oak that we (internally at our company) like to call Forever and Ever (cling together with two magnets, and I like to think of them as two lovers standing close together) and then a pasta tool in stainless steel for measuring pasta, serving pasta and grating cheese that we like to call Pasta & Parmesan.
Sagaform aren´t as fond of describing names as we are, so they simply call the products Pasta tool or 1.2.3 (due to its multifunctions) and Salad Servers in oak.
