Ease of opening
I was at an interesting conference about user friendly packaging on the 30th of april at Danish Technological Institute. Inspiring speakers and interesting and people. At the very boring and traditional "sit down by the table and take a picture" you can see Rama Gheerawo, Innovation leader at Helen Hamlyn Center, the Royal College of Art. He was talking about an amusing example of an easy peel bacon package - that apparently hadn´t been tested on real consumers before launching. /jb

Cooking and competition
A few weeks ago I sent in an recipe for a competition at Tasteline. It is called Årets Hemmakock, which means something like - This years best unprofessional chef.
My recipe was chosen to represent Skåne and if the jury continues to like it I will be cooking live in Stockholm in November.

Bikes and heads
Lovely to see some new design for safer biking and a little less sterotype designed headgear (coloured plastics, composites and that sporty look can be so boring) Yakkay is a new danish brand that you probably can buy at a store near you very soon. Some of the people behind it is well known Tools design.

Pasta & Parmesan is a true bestseller!
Our Pasta tool that we designed for Sagaform in 2007 has now been for sale for a few months with great results! From the beginning it has been among the top five selling items in the Sagaforms collection. That makes us kinda happy, after all, design isn´t all about prototypes and ideas. It is also about making products that attracts people and adds extra value for the clients brand.
We have our own onlineshop (på svenska and in english) thus making it possible for you to order directly from us, otherwise you can buy our Pasta and Parmesan here:

Visions and ideas of new bicycle lanes
The city of Malmoe is building, growing and building a lot. Malmoe has since 2003 been a part of a EU financed project called SMILE (Sustainable Mobility Initiatives for Local Environment) As a part of that Transformer and two architect companies (Testbedstudio and UiD) were invited in april to create ideas, visions and improvments at two specific bicycle paths in Malmoe. We have just finished the project and we are now eagerly waiting, some of the ideas will be tested at a demonstration bicycle lane this summer. We´ll keep you posted.
